At KO-NEKT, we are always looking to grow our services and reach more children, young people, and families who would benefit from high-quality, person-centred support.

We currently provide support across:
• North Lanarkshire
• North Ayrshire
• South Ayrshire
• Surrounding localities

We also consider referrals from neighbouring areas where children and young people may already access education, family connections, or wider support networks within our existing service locations.

We understand that finding the right support can be challenging, particularly for children and young people with Additional Support Needs (ASN) or complex social care needs. That’s why we actively explore opportunities to expand into new locality areas where there is identified need.

Thanks to our KO-NEKT Central Business Hub, we are able to coordinate:
• Staffing and recruitment
• Training and specialist development
• Safeguarding and compliance
• Quality assurance and operational oversight

This model allows us to build services safely, sustainably, and consistently while maintaining the high standards of care and relationship-based support we pride ourselves on.

How New Area Referrals Work

We do not operate traditional waiting lists. When we receive an enquiry from a new area, we will:
1.) Discuss the needs of the child or young person
2.) Assess whether support can be safely delivered within the locality
3.) Explore staffing and training requirements
4.) Provide transparent timescales and next steps

In some cases, there may be a short lead-in period while:
• a specialist worker is recruited, or
• additional training is completed for existing staff

We aim to make initial contact within two weeks of receiving an enquiry.
