Our History
KO-NEKT was founded with a clear vision: to create inclusive, supportive spaces where children and young people aged 5 to 25 with Additional Support Needs (ASN) and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN) can thrive.
We opened our first Play & Skills Centre in North Ayrshire in 2017, providing structured, person-centred activities designed to promote confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. As demand for our services grew, we expanded to South Ayrshire in 2019, and most recently launched our KO-NEKT outreach service in North Lanarkshire in 2023—bringing tailored support into the heart of local communities.

Our Aim
To provide tailored, high-quality support to children and young people aged 5 to 25, with Additional Support Needs – no diagnosis is necessary.

Our Objective
To encourage personal growth, build confidence, enhance resilience and support the mental, physical and social development of each individual service user, tailoring their time to ensure person-centre activities. We work towards achieving SHANARRI developmental outcomes carrying out 3 monthly reviews for all service users.
