Our Support Team
Our Support Team is at the very heart of KO-NEKT and without them we simply wouldn’t be who we are today.
Their dedication, patience and kindness shine through in everything they do, helping our children and young people to grow, develop and build the confidence they need to thrive. Every milestone reached, every new skill learned and every smile shared is a direct result of the care and commitment shown by our incredible support workers. They go above and beyond every single day, making a lasting difference not only to the lives of our service users but also to their families.
A huge shout out goes to all our support workers from The Hub team, Line Managers, Parents/Carers and most importantly from the children and young people they support!

Marianne Greenway
CEOI’m Marianne Greenway, and I’ve been working in childcare and youth development since 1991—which means I’ve been doing this longer than most influencers have been alive.
For over 34 years, I’ve poured my energy, heart, and a good dose of humour into making sure every child and young person is supported, understood, and given the chance to grow at their own pace (preferably without being shoved into a one-size-fits-all box).
I’m a strong leader, a passionate social entrepreneur, and a firm believer that no two kids are the same—and that’s exactly how it should be. I founded KO-nekt Childcare with nothing but experience, stubborn belief, and a big vision. It’s a social enterprise built on the very best lessons from my career—what works, what matters, and what makes a difference. KO-nekt fills the gaps most systems leave behind and isn’t afraid to innovate around the tricky bits that others avoid. It’s childcare reimagined, with heart, brains, and a whole lot of purpose.
In 2024, I was diagnosed with Fragile X syndrome, a genetic condition linked to the autistic spectrum. Some people might’ve seen that as a challenge. Me? I saw it as an explanation—and honestly, a bit of a plot twist. It turns out all the things that made childhood tricky weren’t flaws—they were superpowers in disguise.
Now, I use those powers to drive change, champion individuality, and build a future where every child gets to be exactly who they are—without apology, limits, or labels.

Karen Kerr
Business Manager (aka The Fixer)I don’t play with building blocks — I build with them. While the kids stack towers, I’m busy stacking strategy, governance, funding and just the right amount of chaos control. After years in corporate operations, fine-tuning my skills in business management, I swapped suits for something far more meaningful — supporting children and young people with ASN. For over 15 years in the third sector, I’ve focused on what really matters: creating solid foundations that help organisations grow sustainably. I’ve raised over £10 million in grant funding (I love a spreadsheet!) I joined KO-NEKT in 2023, where I get to mix my skills with my passion for inclusion. It’s a joy to be part of a team that champions young people’s rights and potential — and to help build something that truly makes a difference.

Lynn Reid
Finance Manager (aka The Number Ninja)After many years working in the banking industry, I decided to swap interest rates for impact, bringing my financial skills into the third sector to support a cause I genuinely care about. At KO-NEKT, I look after everything from payroll and expenses to budgeting and keeping our finances running smoothly behind the scenes. I’m the one making sure everyone gets paid on time (which might be why I’m the most popular person in the office). Whether I’m balancing budgets, tracking spending or chasing up a stray receipt. It’s all part of making sure KO-NEKT can keep doing the brilliant work it does.

Jodie Canavan
Training Officer (aka The Care-iculum Seeker)With a degree in Psychology and a passion for people, I recently joined KO-NEKT as the Training Officer, where I manage both our in-house training and external programmes. This includes delivering our popular Introduction to Care programme, which supports people interested in starting a career in the care sector, as well as coordinating the Adult Achievement Awards that help participants build confidence and recognise their strengths. I believe that everyone learns in their own unique way and my passion is to inspire and motivate every individual to embrace training opportunities—no matter how big or small. My goal is to create learning experiences that are practical, inclusive and most importantly, fun! I want to make sure that everyone who takes part feels equipped and excited to develop their skills and take their next steps in care. After all, learning is a journey best enjoyed together!

Alicia Copeland Stewart
Office Administrator (aka The Creative KO-NEKTer)With a background in office administration and communications, I’m the behind-the-scenes powerhouse keeping KO-NEKT running like clockwork. My role spans everything from HR coordination and internal systems management to building and maintaining our staff app, website, and social media presence. No task is too big, small, or unexpected—I’m on it. I’m also the welcome committee for new team members, making sure their first experience with KO-NEKT is warm, seamless, and memorable—because first impressions really do matter. Armed with an MSc in English Language & Linguistics from the University of Glasgow, I’ve found my niche here: a role that perfectly blends my skills with my passion for people. Outside the office, I’m usually creating art. I’m a strong believer in the transformative power of the arts to inspire, heal, and connect—and if it brightens a space or a day, all the better.
